This Arduino Uno clone and is an easy to use microcontroller with a lot of supporting resources available online.
It is based on the ATmega328 chip and has 6 analog inputs, 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 MHz ceramic resonator, power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
It will need a battery or plug pack to power it.
